Product Description
The Brionvega RR126 “stereo radio-phonograph” was designed in 1965 by the internationally famous great designer and architect from Milan, Achille Castiglioni(1918-2002). Many of his works have been displayed in the world’s most important museums (the Moma in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Kunstgewerbe Museum in Zurich…).
The RR 126 is a high-fidelity stereophonic appliance which was really innovative when it appeared on the market. Its modular structure means that the parts can be “moulded”: by moving the speaker, it can be arranged as a cube or a parallelepiped.
The unit and the wooden speakers are crafted by artisans, which is why no two items are ever the same.
Diversity is a great feature of this unique object.
The RR126 was made in three different colours, brown, white and lobster.
There is news of a yellow version too, but very few people actually saw it.
The RR126 is a classic example of how architecture and stereophony come together in a product which is unique in its kind.
